Founding AI Engineer | Python, Async, LLMs, TypeScript, Cloud | £100k–£160k + Equity | London (Onsite)

Build AI products from scratch as part of a founding team. Great opportunity to join a YC-backed AI startup building autonomous voice agents that automate customer interactions, scheduling, and operations for real-world businesses.

With strong funding and early traction, the company is building production AI systems that directly impact how businesses operate, focusing on real-world execution, not experimentation.

As a Founding AI Engineer, you’ll build and ship core product features across Python, TypeScript, cloud infrastructure, and event-driven systems, taking ownership from idea to production.

This is a true greenfield role where you’ll move quickly, balancing rapid prototyping with building scalable foundations. You’ll work directly with customers to understand problems, scope solutions, and deliver outcomes that drive real impact.

We’re looking for engineers with 5–10 years of experience who have built and shipped AI products end-to-end. Strong experience with async Python (coroutines, httpx, AsyncOpenAI, production-grade error handling) is essential, along with hands-on experience working with LLMs and agentic systems in production environments.

You’ll bring a strong product mindset, the ability to move fast without over-engineering, and experience working in early-stage or high-growth environments.

This role is fully onsite in London (5 days per week), working closely with the founding team.

The package includes £100k–£160k + meaningful equity, with the opportunity to shape the product, engineering culture, and direction of a fast-scaling AI company.
