Senior Platform Engineer (AWS) – DevSecOps Focus | London (Hybrid) | FinTech / FX Trading Platform | Perm or Contract (Outside IR35) | £80k + bens or £425/day

Build a greenfield AWS platform from scratch for an AI-driven fintech in London. No legacy systems, no layers, just a clean environment that needs to be designed and built properly from day one.

You’ll work directly with the Head of Technology to design and deliver a secure, scalable AWS environment. This is a hands-on role where you’ll build infrastructure, set up networking and IAM, and own infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, AWS CDK or similar. You’ll also support developers by improving CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and introducing monitoring and observability. Security is important, but from a practical DevSecOps perspective rather than a pure security role.

The business is still pre-production, so the focus is on building solid foundations and getting the architecture right early.

This is a genuine opportunity to own the platform rather than just contribute to it. You’ll have direct access to leadership, a high level of autonomy, and the chance to shape how everything is built moving forward. It’s a lean, ambitious team with a strong focus on AI, where good decisions early on will have a big long-term impact.

The role is London-based with 2–4 days per week onsite. The salary is up to £80k or £425 per day outside IR35, depending on whether you prefer permanent or contract.
