Remote WordPress Developer – PHP / JavaScript – Up to £55k + Benefits

A leading digital publisher in the sports sector is seeking a Remote WordPress Developer to join their growing team. You’ll be working on high-traffic, large-scale WordPress websites, building new features, integrating APIs, and ensuring fast, reliable performance for millions of users.

The Role

As a WordPress Developer, you’ll:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise high-volume WordPress websites

  • Integrate third-party APIs to deliver new features

  • Write clean, efficient, and scalable PHP and JavaScript code

  • Work with modern front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JSON, Gulp)

  • Use Git for version control and collaborate within an agile environment

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong WordPress development experience (themes, plugins, custom builds)

  • Proficiency in PHP and JavaScript (Node.js desirable)

  • Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JSON

  • Familiarity with build tools such as Gulp

  • Experience with Git for source control

  • Bonus: exposure to AdTech or digital publishing environments
