Junior BE Software Engineer | London | Real Estate & Private Credit | Python, TypeScript, SQL, AI, LLMs | Graduate–3 Years | Competitive Salary up to 70k

We're partnering with a highly successful, privately owned real estate investment group with a multi-billion-pound property portfolio and private credit business. They're building an internal data platform from the ground up and looking for an exceptional early-career engineer to join at the beginning of that journey. This isn't a traditional graduate scheme – you'll write production code, solve genuine business problems and work directly alongside a highly experienced Senior Engineer.

You'll help connect data across property management, asset management, accounting and investment operations. Expect to build Python data pipelines and REST APIs, investigate messy datasets, automate manual processes and create internal tools and dashboards. You'll also get exposure to modern AI engineering, including document extraction, retrieval, LLM workflows, evaluation and human-in-the-loop systems.

We're looking for:

  • Graduate to 3 years' commercial experience
  • 2:1 or above from a top uni in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or similar
  • Strong Python, TypeScript and SQL fundamentals
  • Relational databases, APIs and ETL/ELT knowledge
  • Evidence you've actually built useful software – commercially, through internships, research, open source or independently
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical ability
  • Interest in AI/LLMs, cloud, Docker or data platforms beneficial
  • A curious, commercially minded personality who wants to understand how technology solves real business problems

For someone early in their career, the learning opportunity is significant. You'll work directly with a Senior Founding Engineer rather than disappearing into a large graduate intake, take ownership of real production systems and gain exposure across backend engineering, data, automation and applied AI. It's particularly well suited to someone who enjoys building outside the classroom and wants responsibility significantly earlier than they'd typically receive within a larger technology organisation.
