Software Engineer | London Hybrid | Scientific Software | Python, APIs, AWS, Data Integrations | £55k–£65k + Equity

A growing software company is helping scientists and researchers accelerate the development of next-generation products across industries including advanced materials, chemicals, biotechnology, food, and sustainability. Backed by leading investors and trusted by enterprise R&D organisations, their platform is transforming how scientific teams manage data, experiments, and research workflows.

They are looking for a Software Engineer / Implementations Engineer to join a highly technical customer-facing engineering team. This role sits between software engineering, data engineering, and customer delivery, helping build integrations, data migrations, APIs, and custom workflows that connect customer environments directly into the platform. You'll write production Python code, build data pipelines, work with scientific data, and solve real-world technical challenges for global customers.

Required experience:

  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals and degree from a top 100 Global university
  • Python should be your strongest programming language
  • 0–2 years of commercial software engineering experience
  • Experience with APIs, integrations, or data pipelines preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Interest in science, engineering, chemistry, biotech or technical industries highly desirable
  • AWS exposure beneficial
